ABOUT UNDERFLOOR HEATING MATTING

Underfloor heating matting consists of a series of electric heating cables or wires that are pre-attached to a mesh or matting. The matting is usually made of a flexible, durable material such as fiberglass mesh, which allows for easy installation and ensures the heating cables are evenly spaced. The matting is typically available in various sizes and can be cut and shaped to fit the specific dimensions of the room.

The installation process of underfloor heating matting is relatively straightforward. First, the floor is prepared by ensuring it is clean, smooth, and dry. The matting is then rolled out and laid flat on the subfloor, with the heating cables facing upwards. The matting is secured to the subfloor using adhesive or tape, ensuring it remains in place during the flooring installation.

Yes ceramic tiles can be place directly on heating mat. 

Carpet can be placed on tiles or concrete spout, cannot place carpet directly on heating wire.

All sizes are sold in one length so if you choose 15 square meter you will receive 0.5 meter wide 30 meters long heating mat. In some cases, joining is permitted please contact us for details.

We always recommend use insulation, this can help save energy on the long term, soft foam insulation cannot be used only hard board solid insulation is permitted, needs to be firmly attached to the sub floor.

There is no need for extra floor insulation if Sub floor already have a build in insulation.

No need to use floor primer with our heating wire our wire is attached to self adhesive fiberglass mesh.

Floor temperature sensor needs to be installed in protective tube just in case you decided to change or replace thermostat. Sensors rarely work with new thermostat so you can easily pull-out old sensor and replace with new one. 

With any floor heating always use flexible tile adhesive.

No need to hire expert to lay out heating wire any person with basic DYI skills can perform installation. NOTE qualified electrician need to connect main power to the thermostat and connect heating mat to the thermostat.

Minimum distance from the wall 100mm. Minimum distance between heating wire 80mm

Heating wire cannot be place one on the other.
